ARMS’FREE’

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 23 ; the twenty-third edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton . The theme for this month is FREE. “balu bhaiyya, just got a call from sindhiya….they are coming to get us!!!!”, Ramu came yelling inside the small little hut. Balu was alone, sitting on his khursi  ,with legs wide spread on the wodden table. He had a katta in his hand. Ramu was breathing heavily & the dripping sweat from his face justified his fear of being apprehended by the Bihar police. Balu still had audacious sparkle in his eyes. He got up from his chair & made his way up to Ramu & patting his shoulder murmured in his frail, senile voice,” don’t worry…..you were the one who wished to be free from all this mess, you got it!!! Be happy…I won’t let you hurt them”….turning his back to Ramu, he took a stride and within...

Do you need a reason to love??

I boarded the bus, put my bag on the nearby seat & turned my back to watch her leave. The feeling to see her, first slip from my arms & then from my eyes was detrimental. That was, may be, the first time when my mind in support of my heart,  told me to get down the bus, take a rigorous run and being oblivious of the hypocrites around…just hug….in the mild, angelic drizzling…. I was cursing each second that passed, each distance that made me feel she was far. It’s savage, I yelled to myself. I hated everything that was been offered to me…. My eyes were desperate to have a glimpse of that loving, cherishing, benign face….just to make sure that she was weeping, both inside & outside. But she didn’t turn back…it pierced my heart…my eyes were behaving like a child, being left alone in a boarding school by the most loved person in his life… I wanted to reprimand…don’t know to whom…because in addition to every little thing was hurting, the drizzle became grave & it began...

The Other Day

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 21 ; the twenty-first edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton . The sun was shining brightly. Bandu was moving ahead calmly but was unable to preclude himself from the scorching heat that was been rubbed vigorously against his body by the hot winds. He moved his eyeballs around the perimeter only to confirm it was free from any trespassing. Once he did, he was now clear with his intentions to take a few silent strides in the direction he was moving & then turn to left to reach his target who was about 10ft then. Everything till now went according to his plan & now he didn’t want to ruin it by any of his sappy mistakes, so he was being extra cautious. Bandu was surprised to see himself very calm & kept asking to himself,  why am I not shivering!! The distance was been cut down with eac...

The Message

It had stopped raining but the sky was still studded with dark clouds. Anita opened the door of the apartment & started walking towards the lift, but her mind wasn’t synchronized with her footsteps which had different plans….unknowingly she divulged that she was on the stairs, going down. She couldn’t understand the mystery behind her action. She tried to seek the answer from the dripping sweat through her face but in vain!!! She wanted to sit down & weep bitterly. She climbed down 3 floors in the same no mind state, trying to remember the reason why she had to get out the apartment which belonged to her… she stopped battling out with her baffled thoughts, took a deep breath as she had been advised by her mom who practiced yoga ardently & retreated back to her apartment. She closed the door once she got in & it   gave a chill in her chest. *** Sam was having his favourite dish idli sambar at Anita’s apartment on Sunday morning. Sam just loved the way she made it,...

Lost Last Letter-7 (Concluding part)

AFTER 2 YEARS: It was 8pm. “ Raj beta, khana khake jana.bahut der ho gayi hai aur jyada der bahar mat ghumna , babuji dantenge….”   Having said this, his mom came out from kitchen to reach out to him in but as usual she found him walking out of the big politician studded hall, scorning to the many other yells apart from his mom’s. Raj took out his YAMAHA RX-100, on which he used to hover in the town with full of attitude during his college days, wander with his awara jhund gang, but today it was something different. He was going to meet Devika. It had been 2 years since he didn’t see her..   after ‘LAST MEET’ she vanished the next day morning, Raj couldn’t get a chance to justify their unexpected actions. Raj put his bike in last gear began stabbing the air with full throttle, with a very sturdy expression on his face. His face was unmoved even with the ferocious wind slapping his face again & again. The last meet scene was making him to focus less on the harsh wind. The...

REAL BEAUTY…. NOT JUST BEAUTY!

inspiraio “Hey what’s real beauty for you”, I asked my friend, just trying to wonder what people think about being beautiful. I was a bit taken back on seeing his blank face in search of an answer, not at least to please me but to himself. He was speechless which patronized me to think about what does this word exactly mean? It’s ironic that in our daily dogmatic routine we use this word very often, so often that it is used to acquire all sorts of material & immaterial things hovering around us who brings happiness & when asked the meaning behind it, we get nothing but very insipid answer. Have a look at the image below. The screen behind appears to be a set of dance reality show. The lady, whose rocking her steps is a renowned dancer, Sudha candran , Chennai born dancer, on one of her return trips from Mumbai to Chennai she met with an accident resulting in the amputation of her right leg. She was given an artificial leg and despite this terrible disability, she became one of...

Lost Last Letter-6

Continued.. The next day went smoothly. Raj went back to hostel & after getting fresh he returned take care of Aruna. Then it was Devika’s turn to go back & do the same. There was something different about this day & that was the sweet sounding silence between the two titans. Devika was feeling very rejuvenated & the reason was quite evident from the last night’s outburst. Be it because of all the piled up hardships she had faced from her childhood, sharing it in this manner fetched her sigh of relief. All negative things about him were now on their way out from her mind & heart. Some part of her mind still wished to continue the ongoing saga of hatred between them, but heart for the first time, decided to redeem from the mind. So it was in the afternoon they were sitting opposite with Aruna’s bed in middle. The doc performed his preliminary check-ups & assured that she may be conscious by night. He also added that her health was showing progress. So now ...
