DREAMS GONE WRONG?

This post is a part of the writing event conducted by BLOGESHWAR . Most of you blame me; be it for your good or bad; be it in your best interest or worst one. It’s always me who is at the receiving end. I never conspire nor do I contrive for anyone’s success or defeat. All I do is nothing. It’s only your actions and pragmatic thoughts that allow you to come forward or push yourself backwards. Often people pass on their shortcomings and its followed consequences on me. Sometimes they do need to assess themselves and not very often pass the baton of hopes, despair, agony and not to forget, the rigorous hardships to me. People applaud with all sorts of ‘kind’ and ‘suave’ adjectives when they fulfill what they ‘dreamt’ of or ‘thought’ of. This is sheer injustice to your thoughts; it’s the ‘thought’ that has made the difference and not ‘dream’. I am a vacillating figure and conceived out of your thoughts and imagination. The people who say, “I followed my dream and thus t

Complicated Relations?- Part 3 (Concluding Part)

To read the Previous part, click here “Sorry Shruti, as decided presciently, I couldn’t make to dinner last night. Hope you don’t mind.” “Why would I mind? Even I was busy last night with my article. I am glad that we met today, albeit the same place.” Replied Shruti… continuing her sentence, “Do you really want to listen to my story?” , her eyes made a questioning move to Vasant’s eyes. “Yes, very much… I presume you don’t know where Darshit is, do you?” “I wish not to know. I saw his face three years back and I don’t want to reminiscent the withered past” the tone grew stern with this line. “Well Shruti, why do you hate him so much? Nobody needs to certify Darshit. He is the MOST CULTURED & MANNERED guy I have ever seen. He never defies anybody’s trust, feelings and integrity; deals with utter veneration everybody’s thoughts, very ambitious, determined in chasing his dreams….” “Stop it!!! Will you?!1” screamed Shruti and with an exasperated expression, s

Complicated Relations?- Part 2

To know the First Part  click here “Life used to be so good back then Shruti; with happiness all over and through me, never did I feel that I was alone in this world. But certain, only certain things change, an iota of change leaves you bewildered, making you to wander searching yourself. After we were out of the college, I for once, at last, and, fortunately, got admitted in an average B-School and I had to leave for Noida for pursuing it. I still remember those seemingly-sweet memories with Priya. The last time we met, before I was leaving: we met in this same place, beautiful evening filled with immense ecstasy and plethora of feelings. The thought that, I, reluctantly have to depart from my addiction gave me cold jitters and all I could do was accept it; silently and move on. Little did I have an idea that things will change monstrously in matter of two years” said Vasant, staring the diminishing sun with his moist eyes. Shruti held his hands, trying to console him.

Complicated Relations? – Part 1

“The girl looks decent”, were the first words from Vasant’s mother, who was busy in observing the tea-serving style of the girl, instead her face. She poked Vasant with her elbow, sitting next to her on the sofa and whispered, “So what do you think? For me she’s, as of now, very pretty. It’s a YES from me”. Grinning at her furtively, Vasant winked his eyes forcibly and asked to keep quiet. He turned to his right side and was surprised to see his father gesturing him in the same manner as his mother. He cooed,” please!! I need time to think”. Exactly opposite, were the girl’s parents and younger sister, agog and anxious for his answer. Vasant felt the heat of the situation; even after the entry of the girl in the scene he was yet to see her, yet to form an opinion. No matter how anxious he was, he couldn’t look as he felt he was hounded by others. Gathering his vacillating courage, he managed to look at her and was stunned in and for a jiffy. Man!! She’s damn gorgeous!

WHEN JOURNEY MEANT MORE THAN DESTINATION…….

This post has been published by me as a part of the Blog-a-Ton 25 ; the Silver Edition of the online marathon of Bloggers; where we decide and we write. To be part of the next edition, visit and start following Blog-a-Ton . The topic for this month is 'When Journey Meant More Than Destination'. The topic for silver edition of B-A-T is somewhat challenging and of course tempting, for all it tests is your IMAGINATION; how far are you willing to take your IMAGINATION and then how-not-to ostensibly represent it. The 1 st thought which occurred to my mind was a blasé idea, yup you surmised it right: A LOVE STORY. What more can I imagine when given a topic, which isn’t a jargon and very much inclined to stupid-cupid-love story. After the trite of these ideas, I finally ended up with something plausible (according to me) which prompted me to give it a go. Hope I will be just to my thoughts.     This is a conversation between JOURNEY and DESTINATION, given the situa
