Lost Last Letter-7 (Concluding part)

AFTER 2 YEARS: It was 8pm. “ Raj beta, khana khake jana.bahut der ho gayi hai aur jyada der bahar mat ghumna , babuji dantenge….”   Having said this, his mom came out from kitchen to reach out to him in but as usual she found him walking out of the big politician studded hall, scorning to the many other yells apart from his mom’s. Raj took out his YAMAHA RX-100, on which he used to hover in the town with full of attitude during his college days, wander with his awara jhund gang, but today it was something different. He was going to meet Devika. It had been 2 years since he didn’t see her..   after ‘LAST MEET’ she vanished the next day morning, Raj couldn’t get a chance to justify their unexpected actions. Raj put his bike in last gear began stabbing the air with full throttle, with a very sturdy expression on his face. His face was unmoved even with the ferocious wind slapping his face again & again. The last meet scene was making him to focus less on the harsh wind. They just to

REAL BEAUTY…. NOT JUST BEAUTY!

inspiraio “Hey what’s real beauty for you”, I asked my friend, just trying to wonder what people think about being beautiful. I was a bit taken back on seeing his blank face in search of an answer, not at least to please me but to himself. He was speechless which patronized me to think about what does this word exactly mean? It’s ironic that in our daily dogmatic routine we use this word very often, so often that it is used to acquire all sorts of material & immaterial things hovering around us who brings happiness & when asked the meaning behind it, we get nothing but very insipid answer. Have a look at the image below. The screen behind appears to be a set of dance reality show. The lady, whose rocking her steps is a renowned dancer, Sudha candran , Chennai born dancer, on one of her return trips from Mumbai to Chennai she met with an accident resulting in the amputation of her right leg. She was given an artificial leg and despite this terrible disability, she became one of

Continued.. The next day went smoothly. Raj went back to hostel & after getting fresh he returned take care of Aruna. Then it was Devika’s turn to go back & do the same. There was something different about this day & that was the sweet sounding silence between the two titans. Devika was feeling very rejuvenated & the reason was quite evident from the last night’s outburst. Be it because of all the piled up hardships she had faced from her childhood, sharing it in this manner fetched her sigh of relief. All negative things about him were now on their way out from her mind & heart. Some part of her mind still wished to continue the ongoing saga of hatred between them, but heart for the first time, decided to redeem from the mind. So it was in the afternoon they were sitting opposite with Aruna’s bed in middle. The doc performed his preliminary check-ups & assured that she may be conscious by night. He also added that her health was showing progress. So now

Continued… Raj & Devika made their way to the reception, enquiring about Aruna they went into the ICU ward, where the policeman who had made a call to Devika was standing with his sturdy, well-built personality. He took them inside the ward and it was like a wave of sudden silence from rest of the world crept on seeing Aruna being badly hurt. She was Raj’s cousin:Chote papa ki chulbuli beti, this is what he called her loving, pretty sister who also happened to be his super junior & ironically only friend(to be noted it’s not GOOD FRIEND) of Devika. The doc treating her spoke to them in a very low pale tone,”injuries are grave. Loss of blood is quite less but can’t despise its effects. Her right elbow is fractured cos she hit the tree off the road, on the wrong side. As of now she’s outta danger but we prefer her to stay unconscious. Fracture will be fine in few days. She needs to stay for 2 more nights”. Raj was feeling very terrible to see such a jovial girl bedrid

Continued…. Raj saw the clock which displayed 8.27am to be precise, hanging on the library wall adjacent to the exit. It was Monday and fortunately occupied by many juniors, who preferred to sit in couples fondling, playing tricks as if they were sitting in park, which Raj considered cheap. Now he didn’t intentionally sneak around the library to find out if somebody he hated from the bottom of his heart did make her presence, it just happened. One can say it was just a weak response to stimuli: a stimulus here refers to her absence for which he had weak response. He had CORPORATE ETHIC Xerox with him & the 2 page explanation. After going through that paper again & again he had become perfect in that and was patronized to study more. He sat in his first bench where by default only his trespassing was strictly allowed. By the time he could settle down with all his stuff he still kept staring at the entrance & wondered what made MISS SCHOLAR to be late. He started st

continued..... It was a bright sunny day & the campus was exhibiting a paradigm of nature’s elegant beauty in the form of the sod and shrubs planted all over the campus. The ad hoc construction of the dept buildings was the surprising factor. Ignoring the odds stacked against the construction, the library was undoubtedly the best of all. It had a semi-oval architecture, 15 rows inside, each placed in the form of elevated staircase. It was Easter Sunday & even the college being closed the library was open. The librarian just unlocked it and became scarce into his little chamber inside. All students of last sem had made their way out of the college in form of trip to enjoy their last days of engineering life. It so happened that for 1 st time ever Raj divulged his dissent in being a part of the trip. This made all his friends to use their stagnant piece of mind to think!! Manoj, his best friend tried to persuade him ,but in vain. To add to this, from whole batch only Raj
